Amarillo ISD School Board Election – Saturday, May 3, 2025

  • Results of election
    • The Board of Trustees officially finds, determines and declares the result of said election to be that Doyle Corder, Don Powell, Tom Warren II, and David Nance are elected to fill the four-year terms.
  • Total number of votes cast
    • 43,163 votes cast (17,611 from Potter and 25,552 from Randall)
  • Total number of votes cast for each candidate;
    • Doyle Corder: 4,394
    • Don Powell: 13,393
    • Thomas Werner: 2,837
    • Tom Warren II: 9,494
    • Michael Garcia: 2,204
    • David Nance: 7,112
    • Kayla Mendez: 3,729
  • Total number of votes cast by personal appearance on election day;
    • 5,867 (Potter) + 8,124 (Randall) = 13,991 Total number of votes cast by personal appearance on election day
  • Total number of votes cast by personal appearance or mail during the early voting period; and
    • 11,744 (Potter) + 17,428 (Randall) = 29,172 Total votes cast by personal appearance or mail during early voting
  • Total number of counted and uncounted provisional ballots cast. 
    • 13,256 total ballots cast: 5,485 (Potter) + 7,771 (Randall)
